Today we decided to head back to the swap meet at Aloha Stadium because we had a small list of things we were looking for and also to get some things for the grandkids. It seems like every other vendor is selling Hawaiian T-shirts 7 for $20 for the kids and 6 for $20 for adults. I was looking for a nice over the shoulder sling bag to carry everything in when we go out because my purse just couldn’t hold everything like the camera, water bottle, hairband for the car, sunglasses (don’t use those much in NY!), and all the supplements/meds I am taking for the herniated disk. Greg was looking for a new leather belt and T-shirts. So we headed out and got to the stadium around 10:30 a.m. It had been raining off and on since we left so our first purchase was an umbrella! Next booth I came to had the sling bag! We walked around for about 4 hours and found just about everything we were looking for including T- shirts for Greg, me and the kids, Greg got his leather belts, I found cloth hair bands, flower clips for Kylie etc. . . We had an interesting lunch of food that we bought from various vendors – I had a spinach and cheese roll, and Greg had a meatlovers roll, macadamia nuts, a piece of Hawaiian sweet bread, and green tea chocolate chip butter cookies! I know sounds weird but the cookies were REALLY good – Greg even liked them! All in all it was a successful trip. We were going to head in to Pearl Harbor after the swap meet, but Greg had a headache and was ready to call it a day. We headed home and emptied the car and relaxed for a while and then Greg grilled steaks and chicken and I made baked potatoes and green beans for dinner. We had a piece of Pineapple Macadamia nut cheesecake from Ted’s Bakery for dessert. MMM MMM! We watched just enough TV to get us to a normal bedtime (we are still trying to adjust) and then went to bed dreaming of our next days adventure to Hanauma Bay.
